Painting with acrylics

The great thing about acrylic paint is its versatility. You can apply the paint thickly with a knife like oil paint, or dilute it to the consistency of watercolour and paint in thin, transparent glazes. You can paint on almost any surface including paper, canvas, plexiglass and wood. Acrylic paint mixes well with other media and it's great for collage too. The other great things about this medium are that you can correct mistakes quite easily and cleaning up is simple: you just use water. This makes acrylics appealing to beginners as well as experienced artists who want an alternative to oils.

Come and try out acrylics on Mondays for 3 hours between 09:00 and 13:00, or Tuesday evenings from 6.30 - 9.30pm, or Friday mornings from 09:00 to 12:00 in the studio. If you've never painted before, I'll teach you all you need to know. If you're already an experienced painter, you can help yourself to paint, brushes, paper, reference materials etc. and get painting. Special acrylic paper (up to 100 x 65cm) is available, or you can bring your own canvas. Alternatively, you can construct a canvas here: all the materials are available and I'll show you what to do.

A 3-hour session costs CHF70, including all materials. Alternatively you can buy a 10x abonnement for CHF650.

Please book in advance to be sure that there's sufficient space.
