Starting in September 2016, a group of four artists began working towards an exhibition, to take place from November 2 – November 5, 2017 at Villa Meier-Severini in Zollikon. More information about the exhibition can be found here.
During the course of 14 months the group has worked on a series of projects that include a wide range of subjects and mediums. The group meets weekly on Tuesday mornings from 10.00 – 13.00, and members also work independently between meetings.
The aim is for the members of the group to immerse themselves in creating a body of work over an extended period of time and to gain experience in exhibiting artwork.
The projects that the current group are working on for the first exhibition include:
#1: Portraits in pencil and graphite on paper
#2: Still life in acrylic, using values of a single colour
#3: Landscapes in watercolour on paper, using pairs of complementary colours
#4: Culture (free choice of mediums)
#5: Structure (free choice of mediums)
#6: Downtown (free choice of mediums)
From December 2017 the group will start working again, towards a new exhibition in Spring 2019.
The cost of group membership is as follows:
CHF 700 payable September, January, May and August (equating to CHF70 per class session). Sessions must be paid for even if the participant cannot attend, though absences can be made up at Open Studio sessions).
